Practitioner & Clinical Director
Jo graduated from the University of Westminster and the London College of Classical Homeopathy in 2003 (BSc Hons) Health Sciences: Homeopathy and has been in private practice ever since.
Following her daughter being diagnosed with severe dyslexia and anxiety at an early age, Jo drew on her prior knowledge and skills to find a way to help her daughter to achieve her potential. This led to her undertaking a very successful neural stimulation programme, whereafter Jo was offered the opportunity to train with Bob Allen, a leader in the field of Neuro Development and its techniques, qualifying in 2011 – they have remained firm friends and colleagues ever since.
Jo runs a busy, full-time practice supporting families using a combination of skin stimulation and movement-based techniques but has also continued to develop her knowledge and experience of the Johansen Auditory integration programme. With her pragmatic approach and extensive clinical experience, the unique combination of programmes enables an even broader range of families to experience the benefits of the wonderful, often life changing, work.
Jo also enjoys working with adults on their neuro developmental journey.
Being deeply passionate and committed to raising awareness of retained reflexes, she has expanded her practice working alongside schools & SEND departments – running inset days and teacher training programmes. More recently developing a school programme that can be delivered under the supervision of SEND departments to support a greater number of children who find the educational environment challenging.
Over the years, and with the long overdue acceptance of the fundamental, developmental role of reflex integration, Jo has built a vast multi-disciplinary, cross-referral network working with Occupational Therapists, Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Speech & Language therapists, Behavioural Optometrists, Nutritional & Functional Medicine Practitioners, Homeopaths, specialist SEND Tutors and Child Psychology experts.
She also runs CPD days for professional therapists, and with an ever-increasing need for the early identification of when reflexes become retained, is currently developing a training programme to enable healthcare professionals to incorporate the work in their practice.

Alice first came across the concept of retained primitive reflexes when her daughter and son both started primary school and found the classroom a very overwhelming place to be. It was by successfully completing a Neuro Developmental programme and seeing incredible results that inspired her to train with Jo Rodhouse Neuro Developmental Therapy.
Alice has a very strong education and SEN background, graduating from Nottingham Trent University in 2009 with a teaching degree and went straight into teaching as a secondary school/ A level teacher. She then went on to undertake a Masters in Advanced Educational Practice at University College London, graduating in 2018. Alice’s dissertation was titled ‘Creating divergent thinkers through developing students’ resilience to failure when learning’. Alice dedicated her time during her MA in developing strategies to enable children with SEND to access the education system more easily.
With her expansive SEND experience working in 3 ‘outstanding’ rated schools, she has built a unique toolkit for supporting inclusivity in SEND children in the educational setting, developing and delivering teaching & learning strategies and resources to support children with a range of learning needs, including; hearing impairment, Dyslexia, ADHD/ADD and Autism.
